The 1967 Jaguar XKE convertible carries an imperial maroon metallic exterior finish and shows a #2 condition rating. Its black interior pairs with the two-door convertible body style, and the car runs on gasoline with a manual transmission. Producers often look for cars that read clearly on camera without needing heavy set dressing. The maroon finish and convertible top give this Jaguar a distinct profile that fits both day and night scenes. Crews filming in Kansas City, Missouri, can evaluate how the car’s lines work against local backdrops or period street sets.

Missouri Picture Cars and the Missouri Picture Car Market

Missouri Picture Cars works with USA Movie Cars to connect productions with vehicles listed in the state. USA Movie Cars partners with state picture-car sites such as Missouri Picture Cars so that location managers and picture car coordinators can search locally first before looking farther afield. This network approach helps crews filming in Missouri reduce transport time and costs when they need a specific year or body style.

Kansas City, Missouri, sits in a central position that serves productions shooting throughout the Midwest. When a vehicle like the 1967 Jaguar XKE convertible appears on the network, it becomes easier for teams to locate period cars without leaving the region. Missouri Picture Cars continues to expand its listings so that both national and independent projects can find suitable vehicles closer to their base.

History of the 1967 Jaguar XKE convertible

The Jaguar XKE series debuted in the early 1960s and quickly became known for its long hood and flowing rear lines. By 1967 the convertible version offered an open-top option that appealed to buyers who wanted the performance image with the added freedom of a drop-top. The model carried forward the brand’s reputation for British grand touring cars that balanced road use with a sporting character.

During the late 1960s these convertibles appeared in both personal and public settings across the United States. Their presence in period photography and advertising from that decade gives them a recognizable silhouette for any scene set in those years. The 1967 model year sits squarely inside the era when the XKE was still a current production car rather than a classic, which can help productions avoid anachronisms when dressing a 1960s street or driveway.

Missouri Picture Car Rental Uses

Crews can place the 1967 Jaguar XKE convertible in period residential or downtown scenes where a foreign sports car adds texture to the background. Its convertible body allows for shots with the top up or down, giving directors flexibility when matching weather or mood on a given day. The maroon color reads distinctly against many common street tones, which helps the car register even in wider establishing shots.

Still photographers and music video directors can use the vehicle for single-image or short-form work where a vintage European convertible supports a narrative or brand message. Event planners sometimes request period cars for displays or photo opportunities that reference the 1960s. Productions working on commercials or branded content can also evaluate the car for product integration scenes that benefit from an authentic period vehicle.
